Tips and Tricks!

When it comes to books, there are a lot of things that are essential, and even more that we love to claim are essential. But really, who WOULDN'T want pens and highlighters of every color and size to annotate their books, but only end up using a regular ballpoint pen? Or that one very specific bookmark you begged your parents to buy you...only to lose it in a week. What about these super cute decorations for your bookshelves? Surely these can't go unused! With all that said, below you can find almost everything book related and more! Things every reader should know about, and most of us should definitely take some time to look at!

Bookstores

Nowadays, many people buy most of their things from online websites. I, and several other readers tend to do the same with buying our books. Whether it is to save a trip after a tiring day, or because we might not have one close to home. Though it is always a special feeling when visiting a regular bookstore! Being able to just walk through seemingly non-ending shelves stacked to the brim with books of everykind, right at your fingertips! Below are some of the bookstores I visit in my free time!

Barnes and Noble

Barnes and Noble

Barnes and Noble is a common bookstore a lot of people are famliar with! A lot of times, there is cafe inside too, and serves as a great way to relax with your favorite book, and quick snack or beverage at hand!

Half Priced Books

Half Priced Books

Going to new bookstores is great, but visiting second hand bookstores such as this one is truely an experience I recommend to all. Whenever I am reading a used book, its makes me wonder what emotions and journeys the readers before me went through within the same set of pages! Especially when there are little notes in the margins, which make me feel like I am in that previous reader's shoes!

Online Bookstores

Like I mentioned earlier, some days we simply don't have the time, or access to a regular bookstore, so there is no shame in going online book shopping every once in a while!

Amazon

I know Amazon is not really a bookstore, but you can still buy all your favorite stories just the same!

Book Depository

Book Depository

Similar to Amazon, Book Depository offers several options for readers, as well as different editions of books that you might not find on Amazon or in regular bookstores!

Collector's Editions

Everyone knows the saying not to judge a book by it's cover, but I know a little part of all of us secretly do. We all see the regular editions of books while shopping for a specific read, but did you know there are many books with gorgeous collector's or special edition?! Although a little pricey, they are beyond beautiful, and a great addition to your bookshelves!

Annotating Supplies

Some of us readers like to annotate our books. Whether it is to jot down thoughts or predictions in the margins, or just highlighting ur favorite quotes, we are going to need supplies! Personally, I do not usually annotate some fo my books, and try to keep them looking just like the day I bought them (although we all know thats almost an impossible task!). However, whenever I do choose to annotate my books, I prefer to use a regular, black, ballpoint pen, but that is wholly my choice. Some of us love to go all out with colors, symbols, and hundreds of stickynotes and notecards! All are valid methods, and we must all find the way that works best for us! Below you'll find some annotating essentials!
